F-NATT Mine Placements In Walls.
· EDITED
CREDITSNam-Nam
You can put F-Nott Mines into Soft Walls by placing a bulletproof cam on the wall placing your F-Nott on it and removing your gadget.
The glitch was originally found by the community and was said to be patched.
The way F-NOTT mines stick into surfaces has to do with a basic glitch in the game but before that i have to explain what normals are and how they work with F-NOTT mines.
A Normal is used to determine the "facing of a single polygon (face) on a mesh". Normal lines look like this on a basic cube.
As you can see every side has its own normal that points outwards from the face.
This determinds which direction the polygon faces.
In siege walls are a bit different.
Every wall has a single normal (facing), and that is extruded out by an algorithm creating the depth of the single sheet of wall.
And of course every soft wall has two sheets.
This creates an opportunity to glithc F-NOTT's inside by dropping them from something.thats close enough for example a Bulletproof Cam.
Important you can only do this on the side where the wall normal faces inwards. (Sheet 1 on the picture above)
But How do you determine which side of a wall is right you may ask??
TEXT
The easiest way is to look at text on wall textures.
Example
Where the text is flipped thats the side you can do the F-NOTT bug since that is the wall facing its back to you.
The other side has the text displayed correctly
You can also spot specific texture markings to determine the side but text is the easiest way to spot sides you can do this tech on.
For example on Oregon if this scratch mark goes from left to right you are on the back side of that wall if it goes the other way your are on the wrong side
